bread.

...in the wilderness,
...when confronted with temptation,
...face to face with an adversary,

Jesus answered.
"It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

So, when we're in a wilderness,
confronted with temptation, or
face to face with an adversary...

Our answer should be the same.

Amen! Great reminder. So simple sounding, yet seems so difficult to apply much of the time for me! Seasons when I apply and feel so much stronger; other times when there is little-to-no-application and I feel so weak! Pilgrim's progress ... and lack thereof ... Trusting, I make more headway in 2012.

A habit I revived last year (from years ago) is to not put anything, ANYTHING, on top of my Bible. This makes it more visible; more of a reminder to study; to read; to hopefully APPLY! It almost seems irreverent to put anything on top of the Word; a visual reminder of Its priority.

Love-n-Hugs,
